Time really travels fast when you have fun!
I came here 3 months ago to live with people that I found on internet from beginning of this year.
Yes, when I put it like that I sound like a crazy person...
But I'm not the only one who has done something like this (like my dear mom years and years ago when you can find a family from a newspaper and just went there to check if everything "klicks"), and with the help of modern technology we could talk by written and spoken words, and trough pictures of our current life. After some months of talking I realised that these people are trustworthy and collected my courage to finally ask THE question..."Am I your au pair?" and when their answer was "Yes", it felt like I could fly!
Summer passed and 29th of August came, there was a long wait at the airport, but short flight over Europe to Italy. With shaky hands and weak knees I took all my belongings and went to meet my new family. Well the rest is history, but i could page some of my adventures. I have had several dinners with new people, have eaten many new Italian dishes and met countless of people.
I have climbed on a mountain for couple times already, seen landscapes that have left me breathless and experienced new things like eating raw meat!
I'm lucky woman for meeting people that have become my friends. I have no more words for this subject, because everybody should know the value of friendship and finding people that you can talk and trust. I hope people who read this will know that I'm talking about you!
There is no words to describe how grateful I am for this experience and my incredibly loving and caring (= the best) family!
So shortly: I am happy to be here and I hope from the bottom of my heart that this feeling is mutual with the people in my life <3
